What led you to a career in digital marketing?
I have always been interested in digital innovation and digital commerce so going into this industry was a natural course of action for me. Technology is a passion that I have held since I was young, so it was easy to take this passion into building a company where I and my team can help businesses survive and thrive in the global digital environment.
One of the most interesting things about digital marketing that really drew me in is the fact that businesses can take advantage of the wide reach of digital marketing as well as the low overhead costs of doing business that ecommerce offers. Digital commerce also makes products accessible to a previously untapped population, such as folks living in rural India, for example.
What is the biggest challenge your company has faced since Quantified Commerce launched?
The challenge has always been the same and it’s the fact that business is always changing. Digital commerce trends change as technologies change which means business owners and entrepreneurs need to adapt and fast. As a provider of digital advertising solutions, we need to be on top of these trends because that’s the only way to help our clients. Knowing what the marketing trends are, what to avoid, how we can connect to a specific demographic, all these are challenges that we overcome on a daily basis.
What do you think about cryptocurrency?
I am a big supporter of cryptocurrency and I think it is going to be one of the primary tools for exchanging services and products a few years from now. It offers a higher level of security than fiat currency and it encourages global participation in business that traditional money cannot do. Of course, there needs to be more development in this field, such as security from volatility as well as the development of a universal cryptocurrency option.
Any advice for startups looking to break into the global market?
Start with countries that speak English to eliminate one important disadvantage right off the bat. It is simply easier to establish your brand in countries where English is used for education and commerce.
What’s the current situation of global digital marketing today?
Due to rapidly changing trends in digital commerce, companies and businesses need more than just a great product to survive. Commercial interactions need to be meaningful, memorable and add value to the overall experience of being online. It is no longer just about buying stuff. In most cases, buying stuff also means immersing in a positive experience. It is the company’s responsibility to provide that kind of experience. We help businesses do just that.
